 Happy rhythm is always and everywhere the same...

Yes, we also joined the global ”happy” movement and made our video where we have danced to the sound of Pharrell Williams ”Happy” song.
Honestly we didn't have chance to show you the people dancing to this song but we collected clips that volunteers made during their stay in this mission and that are showing exactly the life atmosphere of the people here. They dance and truly enjoy their everyday life. And you know - happy rhythm is actually always the same. So dancing of our kids from Small Home, students from St Francis school and all the people here perfectly fit the rhythm of the song”Happy”, as you will see in this video.

EVERYDAY JOY IN THE SMALL HOME

We live here as a big ordinary family, everyone has daily tasks to do and what is more important everyone is helping each other what ever it needs...

Chapati...

Food we eat is very simple, mostly gideri - cooked mix of maize and beans, sometimes rice with pumpkin. We grow big pumpkins here and they are really sweet and delicious. Ugali is very thick polenta, made of cooked corn flower and it is eaten instead of bread. People here don't have ovens but open fire so meals are usually cooked.
What kids like most is chapati - something like pancakes. Actually, it's not just kids, everybody likes chapati.
But the best thing of all is when we eat together.

Or when we come to Health Center for malaria check, it is much easier when we are together. Malaria is very present here but I am blessed that as a part of mission we run health center to be there for all the people in this remote area. Technician ordinary makes tests for malaria and there are also medicines in HC to cure it. So we deal with it successfully.
